With technology evolving day by day it is often the case that a product you bought is no longer compatible with another such as a docking station. I bought a docking station that was designed for an IPhone 4 but when I upgraded to an IPhone 5 the following year, found that the connect on the bottom was different making my old docking station useless. ..or so I thought. Often manufactures do this to entice you to buy new products that are compatible with the latest technology but some manufactures will actually create adaptors to allow you to use your old appliances with the new one. This can save you a lot of money and allow you perhaps years more use out of your old appliance. If you are going to do this, make sure that the adaptor has been tested and that it is safe to use on your chosen device.
