Japan unemployment, household spending up in April
TOKYO (AFP) – Japan’s unemployment rate rose slightly in April, official data showed on Tuesday, with analysts highlighting the struggling electronics sector as contributing to job losses.
The nation’s jobless rate edged as much as 4.6 percent from 4.5 percent in March, the inner affairs ministry said, defying economists’ expectations that it will remain flat based on Dow Jones Newswires.
